Restoring Your Pelvic Floor After Childbirth

A Mini Workshop

Restore balance and strength to your pelvic floor.

In this mini-workshop, you’ll learn precautions, posture cues, breath-work, and beginning movements to get your pelvic floor ready for postnatal fitness.

You can benefit from this class no matter how many months or years postpartum you may be. Must at least be 6 weeks postpartum.

When: Sunday February 12th 10:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m

Prenatal Stretch & TonePre and Post Natal Exercise Summer

6 week series at JCC Valley Sports Center in Canton

A generous warm up, strength training, and yoga poses to help relieve common pregnancy discomforts and begin preparing body and mind for childbirth.  Acceptable for all trimesters.

Pelvic Floor & Core Restore

6 week series at JCC Valley Sports Center in Canton

Although this gentle exercise program is specifically designed with 6-12 weeks after delivery in mind, it is great for any postpartum women who feels they haven’t reconditioned their pelvic floor and core box.

Register both 6 weeks series classes, starting in September. Register by calling the JCC at 860-693-2378.

Gain a clear understanding of which exercises are safe and which exercises should be avoided after childbirth.

Learn practical solutions for stabalizing your core and healing your pelvic floor.

  • Learn how to self- check Diastasis Rectus Abdominus
  • Exercise to avoid with DRA
  • Exercises to avoid in the postpartum and why
  • Exercises to help with alignment and posture
  • Tips to conquer alignment challenges new moms often face
  • All about kegels and how to incorporate them into your routine
  • How to gauge your level of recovery
  • Warning signs to spot baby blues and postpartum depression
  • Practice exercises every postpartum mom should do to aid in recovery
  • Learn the basics for self-myofascial release for hip-flexors, glutes, and pelvic floor

Receive a program of safe effective exercises to begin at home utilizing the (MED) Minimum Effective Dose.
